هیومیک اسید یک ترکیب آلی است که با بهبود ساختمان و ظرفیت تبادل کاتیونی خاک و کلاته کردن عناصر ریز مغذی سبب افزایش جذب بهتر عناصر می شود. در خاک های قلیایی شوری را کاهش و تحمل به خشکی و جوانه زنی بذر را افزایش می دهد. همچنین با افزایش فعالیت میکروبی خاک کارایی فسفر را بهبود بخشیده و در نتیجه یک محرک عالی برای ریشه زایی می باشد.
